FindTunes stores uploaded video files only to process song recognition and maintain abuse prevention logs. We do not require accounts. IP address, country, and user agent may be stored for rate limiting, analytics, and operational security.
Uploaded files are kept only as long as needed to process the search, operate the service, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot reliability issues.
The FindTunes website can record a short microphone audio sample only after you click Record audio and allow microphone access. The FindTunes browser extension records a short audio sample from the active browser tab only after you click Find song. These samples are sent to FindTunes for song identification. The extension does not record your microphone, screen, full browsing history, or tabs you did not choose.
